Oaxaca Day of the Dead 2023

Oaxaca Day of the Dead 2023

11500$ mx per person

Oaxaca is one of the most fascinating towns in Mexico and the festivity of the Dead becomes one of the essential dates to visit it.

This year we propose a complete itinerary with an ethno-tourism approach to discover the roots of this unique and world-renowned tradition.

Having different families from rural areas as hosts, we will learn first-hand how to prepare offerings and the meaning behind these traditions, as well as different visits with an expert guide.

We will participate in popular festivals such as the Comparsa or Muerteada, visit the spectacular archaeological sites of Monte Alban and Mitla, try traditional food in the houses of various host families and learn about the mezcal distillation process with ancestral techniques, to taste it later.

In short, this itinerary will make you feel like one more member of the community. Sharing with the families will offer you a familiar warmth as you celebrate this festivity together.
